Annual Community and Interfaith Celebration Commemorating the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

All are invited to an afternoon of speeches and choral performances honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme is “Courage to Live Together in Harmony With Healing and Grace.”
If you would like to sing with the Volunteer Interfaith Community Choir, please arrive at 1:45 PM for rehearsal and wear a white shirt or blouse with dark pants or skirt, or a choir robe.
A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.

Please join us as we ask God to continue Rev. Dr. King’s legacy in our local communities. We will start at Crossroads Community Church (2490 Middlefield Rd.) for a short time of reflection and then walk 1.6 miles along the pedestrian bridge over the 101 freeway to the Baylands Athletic Center (1900 Geng Rd.) Gatherings for prayer are planned along the way. Please come and be a part of asking God to pour out His justice and compassion in the communities around us.
Children, youth, and well-behaved pets are absolutely welcome.
