Pastor Sadie and Pastor Linda are leading a study for Advent using the book When God Comes Down by James Harnish.
This is a five-week study, providing one lesson for each week of Advent and one for Christmas. Each lesson includes a key Scripture, a brief reflection, discussion/reflection questions, a brief prayer, and a focus for the coming week.
The study will be offered at two times: on Thursday mornings at 10 am and Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm in the Patio Room.
Please join us for this Advent study to better appreciate When God Comes Down. Read more about the book in the November Insights.
See Pastor Linda or Pastor Sadie to get a copy of the book.
Our Bible-based curriculum is designed to nurture children in their faith journey.
Our Children's Sunday School is off for the Summer. Please join us in September.
For more information please contact our Coordinator of Children and Youth Ministries, Pastor Sadie 650-323-6167 x102
If midweek and daytime activities are better for you, join us for a guided devotional with prayer, caring time, and conversation about Scriptures or a text we may be reading together.
We have shared biblical texts for discussion, chatted about concepts of theology, and read seasonal devotionals together.
Wednesday Morning Wesleyans meets Wednesdays at 10:00 am at Channing House, located near downtown Palo Alto at 850 Webster Street between Homer and Channing. The group meets in the 5th floor lounge.

OpenCircle small groups — called Oikos groups or O-groups (“oikos” means family or household in Greek) — are aimed at fostering accountability, deeper and more intimate relationships, spiritual growth and prayer.
These groups are made up of 6 to 12 individuals and meet on a bi-weekly basis, Wednesdays evenings at 7:00 pm in the Wesley Room.
For more information contact Pastor Sadie 650-323-6167 x102.
Rick Allen leads a spirited and informed discussion of lectionary texts every Sunday morning at 9:45 am in the Pat's Place.
Join us as we study together and journey through the Bible. The class follows the schedule of the Revised Common Lectionary. This is a facilitated class in which everyone gets the chance to learn at their own pace.
Great for newcomers to the text and long-time students as well.
All are welcome. Drop in!
